Please use this page to give you the insight to study the word of God and a foundation in spiritual things. Pray for guidance from the Holy Spirit.
Bible Study to look into the Future. Jesus Christ
will return at the end of the Tribulation. Watch for these events to happen. A crown will be given to those who pray and watch (2 Timothy 4:8). Expect that Jesus will return soon.
The Book of Revelation
"And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS". Revelation 19:16
What are the common interpretations of the Book of Relation???
There are four main groups of interpetation:
A. Preterists - understanding the book in terms of first century fulfillment.
B. Historicists - describing the long chain of events from Patmos (first century) to the end of the world.
C. Futurists - placing the book primarily in the end times.
D.Idealists - interpetation as victory of good over evil.
However, you may choose to select more than one view point, like a combination of several interpetations. You might select both A and C, which says some events have been fulfilled or partially fulfilled, but many events are still to be fulfilled in the future.
Pray that you do not have tunnel vision. Be as open minded as you can be and seek guidance from the Holy Spirit when you study the Book of Revelation. Pray and read other books of the Bible for clues and insight.
Look for the Millennium, which follows the Tribulation and the Glorious return of Jesus Christ.
How you interpert this very inportant book of the Holy Bible will depend to a large amount how you view the 12th chapter of the Book of Revelation.
Is the Rapture the next event for Christians?(1 Thessalonians 4:17)
"And there appeared a great wonder in Heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars".(Revelation 12:1)
Who is this woman in the 12th chapter of Revelation?
1.The Nation of Israel?
2.The people of Israel?
3.The Church?
4.The Virgin Mary?
5.Another woman?
Be sure to interpert the Book of Revalation in a Literal sense as much as possible, noting that there is much symbolism in this book. An answer to this controversial question depends on the beliefs of your denomination, and consequently the answer will not be given here. But please remember to pray for guidance from the Holy Spirit before you come to a conclusion. Besides praying, look for evidence in the rest of the Holy Bible and for hard evidence if it exists. Consult with others on this timely topic and consult with Christian Saints. God Bless You, and may you have eternal Life in Jesus Christ.
Consider the following discription in Heaven from Revelation 7:9-14 :
"After this I saw a great multitude which no man could number, out of all nations and tribes and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and with palms in their hands. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, 'Salvation belongs to our God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb.' And the angels were standing round about the throne, and the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshipped God, saying, 'Amen, Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength to our God for ever and ever. Amen.' And one of the elders spoke and said to me, 'These are clothed in white robes, who are they? and whence have they come?' And I said to him, 'My lord, thou knowest.' and he said to me, 'These are they who have come out of the great tribulation, and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."
The Tribulation is coming soon. Pray and be on the watch. Praise God day and night.
Consider also this passage from Ezekiel 37:12, "Therefore prophesy and say to them, Thus says the Lord God: "Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel."
When will the Rapture occur? See 1 Thessalonians 4:17, "Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord."
Luke 24:13-32
And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was seven miles from Jerusalem. And they talked together of all these things which had happened. So it was, while they conversersed and reasoned, that Jesus Himself drew near and went with them. But their eyes were restrained so that they did not know Him. And He said to them, "What kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you walk and are sad?" Then the one whose name was Cleopas answered and said to Him, "Are You the only stranger in Jerusalem, and have You not known the things which happened there in these days?" And He said to them, "What things?" So they said to Him, "The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a Prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people. "and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to be condemned to death, and crucified Him. "But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened. "Yes, and certain women of our company, who arrived at the tomb early, astonished us. "When they did not find His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive. "And certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said; but Him they did not see." Then He said to them, "O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! "ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory" And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself. Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and He indicated that He would have gone further. But they constrained Him, saying, "Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent." And He went in to stay with them. Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Then their eyed were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight. And they said to one another, "Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?" So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together, saying, "The Lord is risen indeed, and "has appeared to Simon!" And they told about the things that had happened on the road, and how He was known to them in the breaking of bread.
Do you know Jesus Christ in Holy Communion. That is the same as "breaking of Bread" in the above bible passage from Luke "The Road to Emmaus". Be sure to pray before and after receiving Holy Communion. Receive Holy Communion often, if not each Sunday. Jesus is present in Holy Communion, and Holy Communion will help you to become Holy. Your goal is to become holy, and possess Eternal Life, so that you can rejoice when you arrive in Heaven.
"I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world." The Jews therefore quarreled among themselves, saying, "How can this Man give us His flesh to eat?" Then Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. "whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. "For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. "He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. "As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. John 6:51-57
Moreover, from 1 Corinthians 10:16 , "The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion fo the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?"
Remember Holy Communion is His flesh and blood, because Jesus is present in Holy Communion. Moreover, you will have eternal life just as Jesus promises us. Also read and study the previous passage-- The Road to Emmaus.
Visions are mentioned in the Holy Scriptures many times. Besides the Book of Revelation and the above passage from Luke, the sheperds saw a vision of angels, that told them that Jesus was born. See Luke 2:14 "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!". This was sung by a multitude of angels. Look towards Heaven, and visualize its Glory, where all the saints and angels dwell with God. God is present in the Christian through the Holy Spirit, and each Christian (who is saved) has eternal Life. Remember, to pray in thanksgiving and praise, very often, if not continuously.
Matthew 10:40-42
"He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent me. "He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward. "And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward."
Always look for prophets, angels, and holy people. Listen to them. Become holy, just as a prophet is holy, and you will receive a crown in Heaven.
Matthew:11
"Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. "for whoever has, to him will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. "Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not haer, nor do they understand. "and in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: "Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, and seeing you will see and not perceive; for the hearts of this people ave grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Less they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them."
Pray for guidance from the Holy Spirit, that you may understand the mysteries of God.
Mark 8:34
"Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
Be sure to follow Jesus and lead others correctly relative to the Kingdom of God.
Jeremiah 23:1
"Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture!" says the Lord.
Study Holy Scripture very carefully and lead others to follow Jesus Christ. Amen. Don't forget to study the Book of Revelation.
Elijah and Moses were with Jesus at the Transfiguration. Elijah is the father of the prophets. Study 1 and 2 Kings. The spirit of Elijah will precede the coming of Jesus Christ!
1 Corinthians 15:22 -- For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming. Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.
All are resurected at different times, before and after the Millennium. See notes on the Rapture above.
1 Ephesians 5:15 -- See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
See everything in the Light of the Lord. Be not ignorant, study everything, and reject what is evil. Pray continuously. Amen.
Ezekiel 33:7-9
"So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me. "When I say to the wicked, 'O wicked man, you shall surely die!' and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. "Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.
When you see someone doing something that is wrong, you have an obligation to tell that person about it. Pray to the Holy Spirit that you may have strength to expose evil. Give all Glory to Jesus Christ, who is the light of the world.
1 Corinthians 15:21
Death came through one man and in the same way the resurrection of the dead has come through one man. Just as all men die in Adam, so all men will be brought to life in Christ; but all of them in their proper order: Christ as the first-fruits and then, after the coming of Christ, those who belong to Him.
Do you belong to Jesus Christ? Will you see the glory of the resurrection?
Receive Eternal Life!!!
What dates do we have for the times of Jesus?
1. Jesus died on the cross on Friday the 14th day of Nissan, which turns out to be April 7, 30 AD!
2. According to John 2, the temple was 46 years in the building at the time (which was 27 Ad or 3 years before Jesus died on the cross). Consequently, Herod's re-building of the temple started in 20BC and the santuary was completed in 18BC. Note for those who like to calculate, there wasn't a year zero (it went from 1BC to 1 AD).
3. Herod died in the spring of 4BC. Mary, Jesus, and Joseph fled to Egypt before Herod died. Consequently, Jesus was born in late 5BC.
4. Before the incarnation was be set in motion by God, the temple santuary temple was completed, and the Virgin Mary was born afterwards. See #3 above, and therefore the logical time of the Virgin Mary's birth was in 17BC. Consequently she was only 12 years old at the time of Jesus's birth in Bethlehem (17BC - 5BC = 12).
5. Therefore the Virgin Mary was an extraordinary woman, who was given a great responsibility as the mother of Jesus. This was in God's plan.
6. Jesus's life before the cross was a total of 33 Years and a few months (30AD - late 5BC( or 4BC) = 33+). God set all the dates, so we should study them.
Jesus will return after Elijah appears?
John the Baptist came in the spirit and power of Elijah (see Matthew 17 and Luke 1) to prepare a away for Jesus Christ the first time.
But what will the spirit and power of Elijah be for the second coming of Jesus Christ after the great tribulation???
Will it be another prophet, something in the sky, a marking on the earth, or other???
Think and pray about this!!!
LOOK UP
The ascension of Jesus into heaven as given in the Acts of the Apostles, shows a couple of important ideas to think about. First, just before Jesus rose into heaven, they ask him if he was going to restore the kingdom to Israel now. Jesus answered that the time was for the Father to determine. Second, Jesus will return the same way that he went up to heaven. Expect that Jesus will return on the Mount of Olives, and at his second coming, he is going to correct the errors of mankind. What exactly will happen at his second coming is not known today. Pray for wisdom about his second coming.
Ezekiel 33:7-9
Thus says the Lord: You, son of man, I have appointed watchman for the house of Israel; when you hear me say anything, you shall warn them for me. If I tell the wicked, "O wicked one, you shall surely die," and you do not speak out to dissuade the wicked from his way, the wicked shall die for his guilt, but I will hold you responsible for his death. But if you warn the wicked, trying to turn him from his ways, and he refuses to turn from his way, he shall die for his guilt, but you shall save yourself.
Be sure to warn other people when they do or say something that is wrong!!!
Peter's speech in the chapter 3 of the Acts of the Apostles starting on verse 17
Now I know, brothers, that you acted out of ignorance, just as your leaders did; but God has thus brought to fulfilment what he had announced beforehand through the mouth of all the prophets, that his Messiah would suffer, Repent, therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be wiped away, and that the Lord may grant you times of refreshment and send you the Messiah already appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the times of universal restoration of which God spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets from of old. . .
Notice "The times of universal restoration". This is Peter's view of a future messiahship of Jesus. Think of it as a glorious time when Jesus returns to the Mount of Olives.
